Floyd Miller Caison, Jr.
Obituary
Floyd Miller Caison, Jr., 70, Ash, NC died August 19, 2026.
Born in Duplin County, NC on September 7, 1955, he was a son of the late Floyd Miller Caison, Sr. and Janice White Caison. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by the mother of his children, Deborah “Debbie” Nadine Hooks Caison and a daughter, Deborah Michelle Caison.
He was a retired County Ranger with the NC Forestry Service, a member of the Coastal Coon Hunters’ Association and Myrtlehead Hunting Club where he served as President of both clubs.
Miller was a true example of a Godly man, devoted to his family, and a loyal friend that was always willing to do much more than expected. He had a caring heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He never asked for anything in return, helping others was simply who he was. He had a love for the great outdoors and was always planning for the next fishing trip to Tubbs Inlet, the ocean, or Santee. In the fall of the year he would be so excited waiting to load up his dogs and wife for a day full of adventure on Mrytlehead Hunting Club with his buddies. He touched the lives of many people and was often referred to as their mentor. Cooking for the family, or one of the clubs was one of the many ways he shared his talents. Though he is no longer with us, his faith and the love he shared will continue to live on through his family, friends, and all of those whose lives he touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant. “ Matthew 25:23
