Obituary
Frances S. Milligan, 88, of Shallotte, NC, died January 30, 2020.
Born in Rowan County, NC on May 7, 1931, she was a daughter of the late James Shore and Mamie White Shore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nivan Milligan and her son, Clinton N. Milligan.
Prior to retirement, she and her husband owned and operated Twin Lakes Grocery, Sunset Beach, NC.
Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Hewett (James), Ash, NC; sisters, Ethel Campbell, Orangeburg, SC, Florence Owens, and Mary Sue Groce, both of Mocksville, NC; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service. Entombment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be Jerome Hewett, Jeramy Hewett, Hubert Stanley, Michael Milligan, Wayne Thomas, and Wayne Simmons.
