Obituary
Frank Roosevelt Hewett, Sr., 90, entered into eternity on March 10, 2025 at his residence in Shallotte.
He was a son of Covington Hewett and Mollie Evans Hewett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Jean W. Hewett, Wilber Hewett, Chancie Hewett, Freeman Hewett, Trubie Hewett, Marcel Wilbur, Robie Piver, Tincie Hewett; and grandson Robert Wayne Beck, Jr.
Frank never met a stranger, always wore a smile, and enjoyed good conversation. He was employed by Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation for multiple years and retired from Brunswick County Parks and Recreation. He was among the founding members of Shallotte Rescue Squad, and served as a member and chief of Civietown Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving children are daughter, Deborah Beck (Robert); son, Frank (Buddy) Hewett, Jr.; daughter, Annette Hewett and sister, Lena Mae Causey. Also surviving are grandchildren, Robin Johnson (Donas), Patrick Hewett (Rachel), Skye Simmons (Vallory), Holly Simmons; great grandchildren, Joshua Green, Ava Beck, Hunter Simmons, Luke Simmons and Makenzie Simmons, and his loving companion Bella.
The family will receive friends from four o’clock until six o’clock on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel.
