Freida Kay Wright
Obituary
My precious mother Freida “Kaye” Johnson Wright left this Earth September 14, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 82.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and adored her family especially her grandchildren Cody and Kayelee who was the light of her life.
She was born September 7, 1942, in Asheville, NC to the late Glenn Raymond and Carrie Edna Griffin Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Donald Harvey Wright and two brothers, Hoy Glenn Johnson and Coy Glenn Johnson.
She was a very loving and kind soul; she never met a stranger and had many, many friends. She had a very big heart for all animals, especially strays. She had indoor pets but always had food outside for any cat that was in need. She loved the outdoors and flowers. She was a devout Christian and was always willing to tell anyone about Jesus and all He had done for her. She touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela Barrett and her husband Brian of Bolivia. Two grandchildren Cody Barrett of Bolivia and Kayelee Barrett and her fiancé Parker Milliken of Ash. Two sisters Faye Stakias of Greensboro, NC and Joyce Peterson and her husband Charles of Asheville, NC special Niece Terry James of Asheville, NC and others.
We will miss her beautiful smile, her wisdom and her hugs and kisses. We know we will see her again because our Heavenly Father tells us so. We Loved her so much and she will be deeply missed. A memorial will be held at a later date.
