    Gene Bennett “Buddy” Norris, Jr., 61 of Shallotte, NC died April 15, 2023. Born in Jacksonville, FL on August 31,1961, he was the son of Gene Bennett Norris, Sr. and Barbara Murden Norris of Dunn, NC.

    Buddy grew up in the Hickman Crossroads Community and was owner of Norris Sign Company.

    Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Amy Carter Norris; daughter, Rhyan Paradee of Leland, NC; sisters, Teresa Morton of Lake Tillery, NC and Melissa Etheridge (Randy) of Wake Forest, NC; grand-daughter, Eisley Jane; and his mother-in-law, Bettie Carter.

    A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Andrews Chapel Global Methodist Church officiated by The Reverend Phil Norris and The Reverend Dr. Bob Weathers.

    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

    Donations can be made in Buddy's honor to donatelife.org and/or woundedwarriorproject.org.
