Obituary
George Vincent Heath, age 85, of Calabash, NC, died peacefully at home on October 21, 2023. George was raised in Morrisville, PA, and lived in Yardville, NJ, for many years until retiring to North Carolina. An Army veteran, George was a letter carrier for 31 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Princeton and Plainsboro, NJ. He was a beloved husband and father, an avid golfer, and a hobbyist fisherman who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Son of the late George and Jane (Hludzinski) Heath, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosalie Ann (Maziarz) Heath, his daughter Amy Heath of Calabash, NC, his son Brian Heath of Washington, DC, and many wonderful extended family members and friends. His sister Jean (Heath) Kupiec of Yardley, PA, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 10:30-11:30am at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel, 5229 Ocean Highway West. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George’s name may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation at PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352 or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
