George Weldon Smith, 70, of Leland died October 30, 2016 at his home. He served in the United States Military for forty years before beginning a career in Security for the Department of Defense.
He is survived by his son, Edward Carl Fate (Robin) of New Port Richey, Florida; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a dear special friend, Gloria Griffery of Wilmington, NC.
