Gerald Dean Farmer, 81, Ocean Isle Beach, NC died May 15, 2023.
Born in Mecklenburg County, NC on September 4, 1941, he was a son of the late William James Farmer and Annie Bell Shute Farmer. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Inez Brownlow; brothers, Billy Farmer and Henry Farmer.
He retired from managing of food stores throughout the area and locally the Bolivia Red & White store.
Surviving are his wife, Venda Sue Sayers Farmer; sons, Tracy Farmer (Robin), Chris Farmer (Sarah), Randy Farmer (Robin), all of Shallotte, NC, David Farmer (Brandy) and Tim Farmer (Chrissy), all of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; brothers, Tommy Farmer and Bobby Farmer, both of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Frances Bridges, Charlotte, NC and Carol Peeks, Rock Hill, SC; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted Monday, May 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte. Inurnment will follow in the Brunswick Memorial Gardens Columbarium.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time.
