Geraldine Faye “Jerri” Normandt, 72, of Leland passed away June 22, 2018. She was born in Columbus County, NC on April 17, 1946, to the late Leamon George Smith and Thelma Smith Clemmons of Leland who survives. A true “nurturer” Jerri, relished and enjoyed taking care of those around her and dedicated her life to helping and bringing happiness to family and friends alike. She made this world a better place and will be forever missed.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her daughters, Wendy Normandt of Summerville, SC and Leigh Resnick (Bruce) of Los Angeles; sons, Scott Normandt of Goose Creek, SC and Jerry Shipton (Tammy) of Wilmington, CA; and sisters, Stella Lucille Ramsey and Marion Hewett, both of Leland. She was the adored grandmother to Cristopher Gerald Normandt of Charlotte, Elizabeth Hamner of Alaska and Michael Shipton of California.
Family and friends are kindly invited to a service honoring her life at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 30, at Brunswick Funeral Service, 5229 Ocean Highway, Shallotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Family House in Wimington.
