Obituary
Gerard Charles Mayer, 71, of Carolina Shores, passed away on October 9, 2016 at Universal Healthcare in Bolivia, NC.
Mr. Mayer was a highly respected detective of 22 years with the NYPD. After his time in public service, Mr. Mayer, joined the banking industry where he worked for 18 years until his retirement.
Mr. Mayer is survived by his devoted wife, Maria; Three sons, Tom Mayer and wife Jennifer of Garden City South, NY., Bryan Mayer and wife Michelle of Elmont, NY., and Christopher Mayer and wife Tracy of Franklin Square, NY.; Four beautiful grandchildren, Thomas, Alyssa, Alexis, and Christal; and a loving sister, Mary Spengler of Calabash, NC.
A mass will be held at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Shallotte, NC. On Thursday, October 13,2016 at 10am.
