Obituary
Harold Delano Mincey, 84, of Shallotte, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Mincey was born July 14, 1933, in Horry Co., SC, to the late John Ed Mincey and Nancy Elizabeth Ganis Mincey. He is also predeceased by his loving wife Brenda Mincey; son Larry Dean Mincey; brothers, Henry Mincey, Eugene Mincey; and sister Nell Mincey Long.
He leaves to cherish his memory and life, a daughter Debbie Ann Sellers, (Wilton), of Shallotte, NC; grandchildren, April Canady, (John), and Eric Dean Mincey, (Ashley); great-grandchildren Karlie Deane and Tyler Dean Mincey; sisters, Glenda Strickland (William), Myrtle Jordan, Dorothy Heffer (Malcolm), Norma Franklin, and Sue Dustin.
He also leaves his family, friends, and his special brothers and sisters in Christ of Ocean View Baptist Church in Ocean Isle Beach. He leaves his cherished “God-given granddaughter” Mercy Thompson of whom he loved deeply.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte, NC. Burial will follow in the Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be directed to the Ocean View Baptist Church Building Fund, 7025 Beach Drive, SW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469 and/or The Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org
