Hazel Margaret Hicks, 85, of Shallotte, NC died Thursday, September 25, 2025.
Born in Anderson County, SC on August 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Otis Gable, Sr., and Lousie Pruitt Gable. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Horace Gene Hicks. Hazel retired from the textile industry.
Surviving are her son Chad Hicks and wife Beth; grandchildren Carson and Brenton; and great grandchildren Levi and Rhettley.

Horace Gene Hicks, 84, of Shallotte, NC, died Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Born in Elbert County, GA on June 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Grady Hicks and Maude Olivia Davis Hicks.
Horace was a United States Army veteran and a retired 911 Emergency Dispatcher.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Hazel Margaret Gable Hicks; son Chad Hicks and his wife Beth; grandchildren Carson and Brenton; and a great grandson Levi.
