Obituary
Hilda Edge Dores, 91, of Holden Beach, NC formerly of Whiteville, NC, passed away on Monday March 1, 2021.
Hilda was born August 5, 1929 in Columbus County the daughter of the late Daniel Kermit (D.K.) Edge and Mattie Ward Edge. She was married to, Robert Dores for 41 years now deceased; a brother, Eugene Edge who lived in New Bern, NC; three sisters, Marietta Edge O’Donald and Yvonne Edge Weeks both who lived in Myrtle Beach, SC and Betty Edge (Tedder) Sealey, of Whiteville, NC.
She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Edge Mihal, of Wilmington, NC and Nancy Edge (Duncan) Forrest of Holden Beach, NC.
Hilda worked at the Blue Jean Corporation for years as a CNA with Liberty Commons and Shoreland both in Whiteville, NC.
She was much loved by all her family members and all those who knew her. She was full of fun and always happy. We will truly miss her.
We send our love and appreciation to the wonderful employees at Autumn Care for Hilda over the past four years and we are grateful there at Autumn Care.
Due to the virus there will be no services. The family will have a private service at a later date.
