Howard Henderson Higdon, 87, Currie, NC, formerly of Brunswick County died May 8, 2026.
Born in Brunswick County, NC on August 2, 1938, he was a son of the late Charles Edward Higdon and Rosa Russ Higdon. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two daughters, Sandra Renee Martin and Kristie Ann Higdon and a brother, Willard Higdon.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving are his wife Peggy Joyce Newell Higdon; son, Charles Higdon; sister, Frances Bozeman; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside in the Mintz Cemetery, Ocean Isle Beach, NC on Friday, May 15,2026 at 11:00 AM, officiated by the Reverend Richard Wade with military honors.
