Obituary
James Aloysius Carr, 79, of Sunset Beach, NC, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Karen L. Carr, for 56 years; a loving father to James F. Carr (Teree), Matt Carr (Hilary) and Kara C. Barth (Wayne); and an adored Gramps to Samantha Keese (Mike), Brendan, Katie and Charlie Carr, and Andrew and Matthew Barth. He was a caring Great-Gramps to Ada Keese.
He was born on January 28, 1943, in Dansville, NY, to the late, James A. and Pauline Carr. He is survived by his brother, Michael (Cissy), and sister, Elizabeth (Bill) and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim grew up in North Carolina and graduated from North Carolina State University in 1966 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked in the steel industry in many different cities in his life. He served as Boy Scout Master and was a devoted and active member of St. Brendan’s Roman Catholic Church in Shallotte, NC.
Funeral Service at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Shallotte, NC, will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 1: OO PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
