James Dudley Starnes, Jr., 74, Supply, NC died January 29, 2022.
Born in Union County, NC on February 11, 1947, he was a son of the late James Dudley Starnes, Sr. and Vera Mae Griffin Starnes. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Vickie Dean Hobbs.
He was a member of the Holden Beach Fishing Club and prior to retirement he was employed by the Brunswick County Maintenance Department.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Ansley Starnes; sons, James D. Starnes, III, Indian Trail, NC and Rusty Lee Starnes, Atlanta, GA; sister, Sandy Wyles, Monroe, NC; brothers, Donnie Linkler, Indiana, Mikey Linkler, Beaufort, SC, Carroll Linkler, Lincolnton, NC, and Darrell Linkler, Monroe, NC and five grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no services.
