James Louis Kersse, 81, of Bolivia, NC died October 18, 2017.
Born in Langdondale, PA on May 21, 1936, a son of the late Louis Kersse and Sophie Eichelberger Kersse. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jason Owen and sister, Elvire Sparks.
He was retired from the U.S. Government as a Computer Administrator.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Taylor Kersse; sons, Ronald Kersse of Shady Side, MD, Steven Kersse (Debbie) of Woodbridge, VA, Kimo Kersse of Tall Timbers, MD, John Kersse (Stephanie) of Woodbridge, VA, Sean Owen (Tonya) of Cummings, GA, Paul Kersse of Chicago, IL and Jarod Owen of Bremo Bluff, VA; daughter, Linda Walker of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Louise Hinish of Six Mile Run, PA; seventeen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Chapel Southport/Oak Island. Interment will follow in Cape Fear Memorial Park, Southport, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
