Obituary
James Philip Ogilvie, age 74, of Shallotte, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, after an extended illness.
Jim was born on June 14, 1947 in Binghamton, New York and was the son of Frederick W. and Margaret T. Ogilvie.
He graduated from Maine-Endwell High School in 1965.
Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force; after serving his country he worked 25 years as a computer engineer and field manager for IBM in the Triple Cities region of New York.
Jim was endlessly devoted to his loving wife of 53 years, Eileen. He is survived by Eileen; son James (Marjan) of Charlotte, NC; daughter Heather Dailor (Joseph) of Honeoye Falls, NY; son Jonathan (Leslie) of Auburn, ME; and seven grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Katherine, Scarlett, Liam, Cadence, and Patrick.
The family will remember Jim with a small private service as he wished.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
