James Stoveken, 92, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC died Thursday, August 3, 2023.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ on October 16, 1930, a son of the late Arthur G. Stoveken and Lucy Ernest Stoveken. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Ruth and son Jimmy.
He was a retired Somerville Police Officer and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran having served as a medic. He was an avid pilot and rebuilt and restored antique planes, including a World War 1 airplane.
Surviving is his son Kenneth Stoveken, Flemington, NJ; and a daughter, Nancy Kreiger, Somerville, NJ; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Service will be private.
Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte, NC.
