Obituary
Janice Marie Hewett, 63, of Shallotte passed away Friday, June 15, 2018. She was born in Wilmington, NC on October 22, 1954, a daughter of the late Earle Marie Hewett Leonard and Maxton Elroy Leonard of Shallotte who survives. She was kind, gentle, and fun to be with. She was a retired comptroller for a commercial shrimping company.
Surviving, in addition to her father, is her daughter, Willena Coleman (Scott) of Orlando, FL; brothers, Dan Leonard of Tarpon Springs, FL and Don Leonard of Calabash; grandson, Callan Coleman; ten nieces and nephews; fourteen great nieces and nephews, and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral service honoring her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 19, in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte, with interment to follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
