Obituary
Jeanette Smith Parker, 66, of Calabash died January 23, 2017. Born in Columbus County, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie Coval Ward and Vinnie Ward. She was preceded in death by siblings Jessie Ward, Kenny Ray Ward, and Linda Evans. She and her husband, Donald, were co-owners of Shelia’s Country Kitchen in Calabash.
She is survived by her husband Donald Parker; sons, Jeff Smith of Calabash and Mickey Smith of Ocean Isle Beach; step-children Wendy Bennett (Dale) of Calabash and Donnie Parker (Terri) of North Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, John Ward of Nakina and Freddie Ward of Old Dock; and nine grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
