Jerome “Jerry” Dennis Wisdo of Southport, NC was born at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA on April 22, 1944 and died surrounded by family, April 22, 2021 on his 77th Birthday. He was preceded in death by his Father, Joseph E. Wisdo, Mother, Teresa M. (Brown) Wisdo, and sister, Gail Wisdo Jackson.

Jerry was married February 19, 1971 at our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mt Carmel, PA to Patricia Fruits of Plymouth, Indiana. They gave birth to 3 sons, Jeremy, Justin, and Joel.

Surviving is his wife, Patricia; his sons Jeremy and his wife Jen; Justin and wife Misty; and Joel and Brittany; his brother Dr. Ray and his wife Dr. Francine; and brother Brian; sisters, Jane Ann Pupo; Mary Kroh and husband Al; Terry and husband Charlie. Additionally, Jerry and Pat have 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was a graduate of Bloomsburg State College in Bloomsburg, PA. He worked for AMP, Inc. for 37 years and retired as a Controller of a billion-dollar division. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport NC since 2006, a member of Southport Sailing and Boat Club, and worked as a Realtor alongside of Pat at Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5269 Dosher Cut Off SE, Southport NC. To register for mass attendance, go to SacredHeartSouthport.org and click on “Register for Mass” space is limited.

The family will have a “Celebration of Life” between the hours of 6-8 pm on Thursday April 29, 2021 in the Brunswick Funeral Service, 3479 Southport-Supply Rd., Southport, NC

Masks and social distancing will be observed.
