Joan Moody, passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 62, in Calabash North Carolina. Born on December 4, 1961, Joan lived a life marked by resilience and kindness, touching the lives of many around her.

Joan dedicated many years of her life to public service, initially working as a grand jury clerk, followed by her role as a bus driver, she also started her own cleaning business. Her career was cut short due to disabilities, yet she continued to knuckle her way through anything that came her way. Regardless of her own struggles, she never hesitated to give her last to someone she loved or someone in need.

Described as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, Joan's legacy is one of love and perseverance. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained a pillar of strength, always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Her family was her pride and joy, and she is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Bruce Moody; daughters and best friends, Nicole Brown and Kristin Brown, son, Michael Everett; and grandson, (her absolute pride and joy) , Chase Brown. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Joan's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by her family and the endless love she spread.
