Obituary
Joanne Coley Mauldin, 85, of Ocean Isle Beach passed away Wednesday November 10, 2021 at her home.
A celebration of her life will be held at Brunswick Funeral Home 11 AM Saturday November 20, 2021. There will be no formal visitation.
Joanne was born May 30, 1936 in Rowan County, NC and was the daughter of the late Hoyle H. Coley and Ruth E. Holshouser Coley. Mrs. Mauldin was a graduate of Badin High School Class of 1954 and Pembroke State University in 1979. Mrs. Mauldin was a successful real estate broker in Lumberton NC and Brunswick County. Mrs. Mauldin was preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Mauldin on October 15, 2005.
Survivors include three sons, Richard N. Mauldin Jr. and wife Terre of Sunset Beach, NC; Gene Mauldin and wife Michelle of Indian Trail NC, Dana Mauldin and wife Wendy of Shallotte NC and daughter Elizabeth A. Mauldin of Philadelphia, PA. Mrs. Mauldin also leaves behind six grandchildren, Kevin Mauldin of Supply, NC, Dane Mauldin of Holden Beach NC, Megan Mauldin of Wilmington NC, Andrew Mauldin of Charlotte, NC, Chelsea West of Abington MD and Laurin Reule of Indian Trial NC as well as nine great grandchildren.
In lieu flowers, the family requests donations to a charity that benefits the lives of pets.
