Joel Fred Jones, 64 of Calabash, NC died November 29, 2021.
He was born in Rome, GA on August 2, 1957 the son of William H. Jones of Columbia, SC and Amelia Stroop Jones of Shallotte, NC.
He was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps with a rank of Lt. Colonel and later a Program Manager for the U.S. Government.
Surviving are his wife, Tracy Cejka Jones; sons Hamlin Jones of Columbia, SC and Ryan Ponse (Lydia) of Royal Oak, MI; daughter, Olivia Ponse of Tha Plains, VA.; sister, Marie J. Danford (Derek) of Shallotte, NC; brother, William H. Jones Jr. of Columbia, SC.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Friday, December 3, 2021 in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service.
A funeral service with full military honors will be conducted at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced.
