Obituary
John Francis Armstrong, 82, of Shallotte passed away August 1, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 15, 1939, a son of John Armstrong and Rita Downey Armstrong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Armstrong, and his brother, Donald. He was a Verizon Retiree.
Surviving are his son, John Armstrong, (Mona) of Mooresville, NC; daughter, Debbie Daggett (Stephen) of Randleman, NC and Linda Leggio (Jody) of Sunset Beach; brothers, Robert Armstrong (Craig Longley) of New York and James (Barbara) Armstrong of Sneads Ferry, NC; sister, Doris Romano (Bob) of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Michael Astuto (Karen), Jay Kresse (Brittney), Jessica White (Jacob), Alyssa Astuto, Ashley Armstrong, Kevin Astuto (Erin) and Nicholas Kresse; and great granddaughter, Lucinda Kresse.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM. Monday, August 2, 2021, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel. The family will receive friends at 3:30 PM, prior to the service.
The family wishes to express appreciation for the care of Mr. Armstrong to the staff of Arbor Landing.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
