John Francis Dobson, 79, of Sunset Beach, NC died on April 30, 2021.
He was born in Pittston, PA on November 20, 1941, a son of the late John Francis Dobson, Sr. and Mary Dunnigan Dobson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Dobson and a sister, Mary Tocheny.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a manager for Tomson Electronics. He was a member of the VFW in Calabash and the Sandpiper Bay Men’s Golf League.
Surviving is his wife, Lorraine Walsh Dobson; brother, Thomas Dobson (Nora), Albany, NY.; sister-in-law, Joan Dobson, Rome, NY. and brother-in-law, Joe Walsh, Fort Myers, FL
A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church with military honors. Interment will follow in St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church Columbarium.
