John Francis King, 68, of Calabash, NC died August 22, 2017. Jack was born in Trenton, NJ on November 20, 1948, son of the late John Patrick King and Janetta Dawson King.
Jack was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired as a Sergeant from the Hamilton Township, NJ Police Department.
Jack brought a smile to those who knew him. His mischievous disposition and quick wit made him the life of the party. Jack enjoyed sports, trivia, history, and traveling but his main passion was family. Married to his love, he and Mary Clare spent countless treasured moments with his children and their grandchildren. Jack's sisters were also a focal point in his life. He was truly the patriarch of the family. He cherished them and the generations that followed.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Clare O'Hara King; sons John Patrick King (Kira Tester - fiancée), Matthew King (Rachel), daughter Kaitlin Domyslawski (Joseph) all of Pittsburgh, PA; sisters, Laurie Lynam (Hal) of Hawaii, Kerry Stolberg of Calabash, NC and Janetta Foy (Gary) of Hamilton Township NJ and five grandchildren.
Private services were held. Memorial contributions can be made in Jack's name to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation Pediatric Stroke Program at
