John Fredrick “Fred” Parker, Sr., 90, Supply, NC died June 3, 2018.
Fred was born in Brunswick County on November 3, 1927, he was a son of the late John Morton and Fannie Pierce Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Parker; daughter, Robin Hobbs; grandchild, Julie Parker; son-in-law, Tommy Bradsher; and sister, Clara Lennon.
Prior to retirement, he was co-owner/operator of J.M. Parker & Sons Building Supply. He was a real estate developer and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his son, The Rev. John F. “Ricky” Parker, Jr., Clarendon, NC; daughter, Wanda P. Bradsher, Supply, NC; brother, Albert Parker (Kathleen), Supply, NC; and sister, Joann Mintz (Tylon), Fairfield Glade, TN; grandchildren, Erika Campbell (Rusty), Melissa Lee (Chris), Will Bradsher II, Meghan Casteen (Chad), Kortney Nowell (Gary), Sara Knox (Cody), Augusta Caison (Troy), and Madeline Hobbs; eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 3:00pm at Sharon UMC and officiated by the Rev. Eddie Hill. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
