John Lawrence Mahar, 79, of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
Born in Manhattan, New York on September 21, 1937, he was a son of the late John and Mary Mahar.
He was a US Air Force veteran, was employed with Con Edison in Manhattan for 33 years, and was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Calabash, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Mahar; sons, Richard Mahar of Tinton Falls, NJ, and Scott Mahar of Red Bank, NJ; daughter, Christine McDonald and husband Robert of Keansburg, NJ; sister, Betty Mahar of Keansburg, NJ; and three grandchildren, Raymond, Samantha, and Hunter.
