Obituary
John Napiecek, 87, of Southport, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022.
John was born in Kansas City, Kansas on August 29, 1934 to the late John and Mary Napiecek. He was also predeceased by his wife of over 55 years, Mary Anne and brother, Thomas.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Leslie Alter of San Francisco; son, Stephen Napiecek of Newport News; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, and Maggie.
A mass will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to The North Carolina Coastal Land Trust in Wilmington, NC, where he worked during his retirement and was able to combine his love of work, giving and taking care of land and gardens.
