Obituary
John Peter Larke, 78, of Holden Beach, formerly of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born in Providence, RI, on February 11, 1938, a son of the late John Joseph Larke and Dorothy May Hopkins Larke. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Linda Rising Larke.
He was a US Air Force Veteran and a member of Shallotte Masonic Lodge #727 AF&AM and the Sudan Temple Shrine.
Surviving are his daughter Allison Dees of Newport, NC; sister, Joan Larke Chadwell of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Kevin Nance Parker and Elizabeth Allison Parker and a nephew Richard T. Chadwell, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday December 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, 5229 Ocean Highway, South, Shallotte, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to CCC Foundation, 3505 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 28557. In check memo: Memory John Peter Larke.
