Obituary
John Phillip Wemyss, 70, of Ocean Isle Beach died Saturday, December 17, 2017.
He was born December 14, 1947 in Cumberland County, son of the late Daniel T. Wemyss and Esther West Wemyss. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a daughter, Ellen Granade and a brother, Dan Wemyss, Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy B. Wemyss; son, James Wemyss (Fallon) of Ocean Isle Beach; son-in-law, Grant Granade of Calabash; daughter, Carrie Danford (Richie) of Shallotte; sister-in-law, Carolyn Wemyss of Greensboro, NC; niece, Ginny Jones; seven grandchildren, Rachel Danford, William Danford, Thomas Danford, Eli Granade, Garrett Granade, Brayden Wemyss and Macie Wemyss.
A celebration of life will be conducted Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the St Luke Lutheran Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
