    Johnny Robert Simmons, 58, of Ash died March 14, 2017. He was born in Houston, Texas, on December 5, 1958, a son of James “Bunt” Simmons and Betty McLamb Simmons.

    Surviving his are his son, Jonathan Simmons of North Augusta, South Carolina; and brothers James Daniel Simmons, Larry Dale Simmons Jerry Wayne Simmons and Bobby Simmons.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 17 from the graveside in Smith Cemetery, Ash, NC, by The Rev. Jason Benton.
