Joseph Daniel Carpinello, 89, Sunset Beach, NC died March 3, 2024.
Born in Albany, NY on November 11, 1934, he was a son of the late Joseph Daniel Carpinello, Sr. and Florence Heally Carpinello. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Jane Marie May Carpinello, brother James Carpinello, sisters Florence Amodel and Julia Lull.
He was a retired Project Manager for the IBM Corporation, a parishioner at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church serving on the finance committee, a choir member and an organizer of the sound system. He was a Eucharist Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus and was also a member of the Sea Trail Plantation Men’s Golf League.
Surviving are his daughters, Donna Marie Carpinello (Joe Kearney) and Lori Jane McGee (Paul); grandchildren, Teddy Olson, Ryan McGee, Jason McGee, and Joey Carpinello; great grandchildren, Tanner, Trevor, Hunter, and Grayson; nephew, Chuck Lull; sisters-in-law, Sue May, Bobbie Hartman, Sylvia Vadney and Deloris Savoca.
A mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan, The Navigator Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel.
