Joseph “Joe” Daniel Smith, 85, Shallotte, NC died August 1, 2020.
Born in Brunswick County on August 10, 1934, he was a son of the late Elmer Lee Smith and Evie Estelle Milligan Smith.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Martin Smith; daughter, Susan Stanley (Josh), Shallotte, NC; brother, Charles Ray Smith, Ash, NC; sisters, Dora Mae Register, Council, NC, Evelyn Reeves, Nakina, NC, and Mercedes Coleman, Latta, SC; grandchildren, Caleb Dane Stanley and Hannah Marie Stanley.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in the Mintz Cemetery, Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
Masks and social distancing will be observed.
