Joseph John “Joe” Fremgen, Jr., age 83 died February 3, 2025, at his home in Carolina Shores, NC surrounded by his family.
Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 8, 1941, to Joseph and Catherine Wolters Fremgen.
He spent much of his life as a police officer in Suffolk County, NY.
He is survived by his wife Maureen Benej Fremgen; his 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 5:00-6:30 PM at Brunswick Funeral Service 5229 Ocean Hwy W Shallotte, NC 28470 with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at St. Brendan Catholic Church 5101 Ocean Hwy W Shallotte, NC at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
