Obituary
Joseph Michael Castrilli, 82, of Calabash, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Born in Baltimore, MD on August 29, 1944, the son of the late Michael Francis Castrilli and Mary Rita Lancione Castrilli.
Joe is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Torpedoman’s Mate First Class. He also retired from Baltimore Gas & Electric Company after over 35 years where he was a supervisor. Joe and Bonnie retired to Calabash, NC where Joe enjoyed walking on the beach and working out at the gym.
Surviving are his loving wife, Yvonne “Bonnie” Roush Castrilli of the home, children, Thea Bittner (Kenneth), Susan Lassiter (Gregg) and Michael Castrilli (Linda); grandchildren, Glenn Frock (fiancé Emma), Jessica Wojcik (Jeremy), Michael DiGeorge, Melanie Bond (Greg), Mallory Whitman (Ben); great grandchildren, Julianna Wojcik, Louis Frock, Jemma Wojcik, Wyatt Frock, Carson Black, Louise Bond, Beau Bond, and Oliver Benjamin Whitman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, in the Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
