Joyce Elaine Westcott, 77, of Sunset Beach, NC died November 9, 2025.
Born in Boston, MA on March 31, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Harold Grinnell and Marguerite Horgan Grinnell. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Steven Grinnell and sister Merilyn.
She attended school in upstate New York and was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she met her husband, Brian Westcott. She ran a successful real estate appraisal business in New Hampshire where she and Brian raised their daughter, Allison Taylor.
She was an avid reader both before and after retirement. She enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her ready laugh and sense of humor.
Surviving are her husband, Brian Westcott; daughter Allison Taylor; sisters Marjorie Karanovich, Laurel Long; brother David Grinnell; and several nieces and nephews.
At her request, there will be no services.
