Judith Wasserman (nee Rudin), age 89, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024, in Southport, NC. “Judi” was the ultimate wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, and daughter. Judi was predeceased in death by the love of her life, her husband, Sanford Wasserman, and her parents, Rae, and Yale Rudin.

Judi is survived by her adoring daughters and sons-in-law: Shelli and Bob Siegel, Marci and Dave O’Brien, Francine Leff , and Barbara and Derek Madsen; her grandchildren: Dan (Clare), Adam (Lindsay) and Greg (Liza) Siegel, Michael Coyne, Jesse and Jacob O’Brien, and Jenna and Sara Madsen; and her great grandchildren: Lucy, Noa, Cameron, Leah, Oscar, Zadie, Jack and Anna Siegel. Judi is also survived by her brother, Woody Rudin and her stepchildren, Barbara Goldman, Stephan Wasserman, and Joel Waters.

All who knew Judi would say she devoted her entire life to her family. Whether it was driving or flying in at a moment’s notice to help with moving, childcare, cooking, etc., or just being a sounding board and giving practical and expert advice, Judi did it all, with grace and pleasure. Judi lovingly and without complaint took care of her mom, dad, and husband, “Sandy,” when they became ill. She was a fabulous golfer and very proudly displayed her “hole in one” plaque in her home in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl.

The family would like to thank her extraordinary caregivers, Mary, Linda, Diamond, T, Suzanne, and all the wonderful nurses at Gentiva Hospice, especially Savannah, Mandy, Kelsey and D.J. There will forever be a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
