Karen Tallone Vig, 70, died September 10, 2020, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare with her husband John and her daughter Rachel by her side.
Karen was born in Washington, DC, on August 25, 1950. She was a 1969 graduate of St. Anthony High School, in Trenton, NJ. Karen worked for the State of New Jersey, Department of Education for 41 years.
Karen and John moved to St. James in Southport, NC from Hamilton, NJ in 2010. Karen was very active in the St. James Community, golfing, playing Mah jongg and several other social activities with friends and neighbors.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter Rachel, son-in-law Ken, and her cherished grandsons, Nolan and Gavin.
She was predeceased by her parents Gabriel and Joyce L. Tallone.
She leaves behind her loving husband, John; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Kenneth Muits of Hamilton, NJ; her two adoring grandsons, Nolan and Gavin Muits; her sisters, Monica (Al) Frascella, Carmela Spych, Gabrielle (Joe) Barry; brother John (Patty) Tallone; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
