Obituary
Katherine Irene Jacobsen Hayes, age 87, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on November 27, 1933 the daughter of the late Jacob Jacobsen and Anna Egge Jacobsen also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Hayes; daughter, Karen Miller and a son, Mark Hayes.
Mrs. Hayes was very active at Seaside United Methodist Church and loved to sing in the choir. She was a member of the Bent Tree Women’s Club.
Surviving are; two sons, Richard Hayes of Trumberversille, PA and Thomas Hayes of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; two daughters, Adriane Varda and husband, Michael of Oak Ridge, NJ and Nancy Berbue and husband, James of Mandeville. LA; a sister, Joan Ann Clark of Staten Island, NY; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A private service was held on Sunday December 6, 2020 in honor of her wishes.
