Katherine Oneil Blackmon Lundy, age 72, died on December 7, 2023, at her home in Supply, NC.
Katherine was born November 30, 1951, in Guilford County, NC to Daniel and Joy Bell Wilson Blackmon.
Katherine worked for many years at Cone Mills of Greensboro, NC. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and listening to music. Several years ago, she and Leonard, her husband of 54 years, retired to Supply/Holden Beach, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother: Gary Blackmon, Sr. and one grandson: Leonard Prevatt.
She is survived by her husband: Leonard Whitfield Lundy; daughters: Katherine Annette Prevatt (Randy), Iris Oneil Mitchell (Charlie); grandchildren: Belinda Musgrove, Dustin Johnson, Taylor Mitchell, Mark Garner, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Mason Blanton, Samuel Musgrove, Sylvie Musgrove, Evelyn Johnson, and Elijah Johnson; brother: Phillip Blackmon and sister: Brenda Allred.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Brunswick Funeral Service, 5229 Ocean Hwy W Shallotte, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Carlan officiating. Burial will be in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
