Kelly Jay Whitaker, 58 of Ocean Isle Beach, NC died March 4, 2023.
Born in Durham, NC on January 5, 1965 a son of the late Julius Whitaker and Helen Porter Whitaker. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Jay Wesley Whitaker and a brother, Kim B. Whitaker.
Surviving are his son, Joey Lee Whitaker of Apex, NC; sister, Amanda Gregory of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Mark A. Whitaker (Jae) of Greensboro, NC, Robin W. Whitaker (Regina) of Hillsborough, NC; brother-in-law, Brian Gregory, the mother of his children, Vicky Whitaker Jarmin Masingale; niece, Taylor Gregory and nephews, Camden Gregory, Paul Whitaker and Ethan Whitaker and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, March 10, 2023 in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte, NC.
