Kendall “Kel” Lay Hardee, Jr., 65, Wilmington, NC died March 27, 2023.
Born in Wilmington, NC on April 1, 1957, he was a son of Kendall L. Hardee, Sr. and Jackie Leonard Hardee of Shallotte, NC.
He graduated from New Hanover High School and UNCW, he was a skilled carpenter before his long battle with Parkinson. He loved the outdoors including fishing ,hunting and surfing.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter, Morgyn Bristow (Justin), Richmond, VA; sons, Austin Hardee and Cooper Booth, both of Wilmington, NC; sister, Candace “Candy” Bahouth (Edwin), Wilmington, NC; brother, Tony Hardee (Bridget), Fernandina Beach, FL; grandson, Max Bristow; nephews, Connor Hardee and Andrew Love.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Village Point Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
