Obituary
Kenneth Russell Clark of Shallotte, NC went to be with the Lord peacefully on January 18th, 2022 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center in Bolivia after a battle with Stage 4 Melanoma. Born August 2, 1946 to late Kenneth R. Clark and Elizabeth A. Clark. He is preceded in death by his sister, Devon Coss.
Ken was an Army Veteran in the Vietnam War, where he proudly served his country. He was a recipient of a Bronze Star Medal and a Cross of Gallantry.
After Retiring a successful career as an Electronic Specialist with Hershey Chocolate of Virginia, Ken moved to Sunset Beach to enjoy his favorite pastimes, which include golfing, the beach, and comradery of friendship wherever he traveled.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of sixteen years, Victoria Clark; sister, Beverly Piatt of Beaver PA; nieces and nephews, Melissa George, Douglas Piatt, and John Coss; brother of the heart Frank Martin, of Fishersville, VA; and loving family member Russell Clark of Wilmington, NC.
Ken made friends easily and kept lifetime loyalties close to his heart. The “Beach Crowd” of Newton NC, Carolina Casuals Golf Group, and the “Superman” Golf friends were pillars in his vast circle of friends.
Together Ken and Vicki owned Victoria’s Ragpatch of Calabash and Ocean Isle Beach NC, and spent many wonderful years traveling to Atlanta GA, Palm Beach FL, and Pinehurst NC for work and pleasure. They continually counted blessings of happiness, joy, and love of being able to embrace every day as a gift.
Ken was a devoted member of Shallotte Presbyterian Church.
Ken’s celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Shallotte Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
