Obituary
Kevin James Hayes passed away on Friday, September 24th. He was raised in Manhasset, NY as one of 6 children of Jack and Muriel Hayes. Kevin made a lifelong career as an international cargo broker in the shipping industry. Kevin married Theresa Corcoran & together they raised 4 children (Kevin Jr, Dan, Tom, & Maggie). Kevin was a dedicated father who coached his son’s sports teams. The Hayes house was often a gathering place for their children’s friends & they were well known in the community.
When Kevin retired, he & Terry moved south to enjoy the beaches & southern hospitality of North Carolina. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his kids & 6 grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his family and was a lifelong Jets, Mets & Islanders fan.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Mask and social distancing will be observed.
