Obituary
Laury Evans, 92, of Shallotte, NC, died Sunday, September 23, 2018.
He was born in Brunswick County, NC on October 2, 1925, a son of the late Archie Edward Evans and Lillie Pearl Hewett Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George Henry Evans, Harvey Evans, Sonny Evans, and David Cross Evans; sisters, Mary Cherry, Lidia Pearl Hewett, and Frances Ann Sellers.
Surviving are his wife, Lula Grace Evans; son, Larry Alan Evans (Annette), Supply, NC; daughter, Glenda Fay Upchurch, Shallotte, NC; brother, Maurice (Winkie) Evans, Supply, NC; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm in Oak Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment to follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
