Lawrence Lewis Ebeling

Lawrence Lewis Ebeling

Lawrence (Larry) Ebeling passed away peacefully at his home in Sunset Beach North Carolina on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. He was 85 years old.

Lawrence was born in Baltimore, MD on April 12, 1934, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Ebeling. After 4 years of service in the US Air Force Lawrence went to work for Westinghouse Defense Division, a career from which he eventually retired.

In 1974 Lawrence moved his family from the Baltimore area to Hanover, PA. Shortly after this move Lawrence and Barb discovered their favorite home away from home in Ocean Isle Beach and in 2001 made their big move south settling into a wonderful life in Wyndfall in Sunset Beach. Always the life of the party and quick to share a smile and a joke he was the perfect matched host to his lovely wife and ultimate hostess Barb.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara; two sons, David Ebeling (Becky), Freeland, MD, and Larry Ebeling (Debbie), Virginia Beach, VA; daughter Suzanne Armstrong (John), Wilmette, IL; three grandsons; 5 granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. Very special thanks to Judy and Tony Cosentino (sister-in-law and brother-in-law) for their love and herculean efforts, to Betty and Whit Swain (sister and brother-in-law) and Steve and Jenny Garner for their continued help and support, and to the many friends that they managed to surround themselves with.

In lieu of a service, Lawrence and Barb ask that friends and family spend time with those that mean the most to them.
