Leigh Ann Worth
Obituary
Leigh Ann Marshall Worth, 56, of Bolivia, North Carolina, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, June 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 29, 1969, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, Leigh Ann was the daughter of Samuel Glenn Marshall and Ellen Craig Frye Marshall. Raised in Kenner, Louisiana, she graduated from John Curtis Christian School in 1987 before returning to North Carolina with her parents in 1994.
She met Lyle Worth through mutual friends, and they married in 1997, building a loving home and raising two wonderful children, Samuel and Emily.
Leigh Ann earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and dedicated 29 years to Wells Fargo, formerly Wachovia Bank, where she helped countless people begin new careers.
After making Brunswick County her home, Leigh Ann embraced the coastal lifestyle she loved. The beach brought her peace and joy, and she volunteered with the Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program to help protect sea turtle nests and preserve the coast she cherished. She also found happiness in her beloved Goldendoodle, Ali Belle, whose companionship brought comfort, laughter, and unconditional love to the entire family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Lyle Worth; her beloved children, Samuel and Emily Worth; her parents, Samuel Glenn Marshall and Ellen Craig Frye Marshall; her brothers, David Marshall (Jennifer) and Craig Marshall (Carrie); her nieces and nephews, Eric, Ben, Sarah, and Matthew; and many cherished friends and extended family members whose lives were forever touched by her kindness and generosity. She was also blessed by the love of her extended Worth family, whose support meant so much throughout her life.
Leigh Ann will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering faith. She made others feel welcomed and loved, and she faced illness with grace, dignity, and hope.
A Celebration of Life service will be held later, with details to be announced.
The Worth family thanks the physicians, nurses, hospice caregivers, friends, neighbors, and loved ones who supported Leigh Ann.
Shared memories and condolences can be offered on the Brunswick Funeral Service website.
